Running at night and in unusual places
- Sopron → Austrian border at 2 a.m.
- Around a Greek island by night
- Out at 2:09, home at 2:05
- Warsaw airport → Lidl
I really like to run at night, and at unusual places and times.
The most memorable one
On our 10th-grade class trip I set off from Sopron at 2 a.m. and ran to the Austrian border. I had no documents on me, so the Austrian border guards turned me back. Hungarian police were there too – luckily, they never got out of the car.
Erasmus nights
I ran at night on the Erasmus project in Lithuania, and in Greece too: there I ran around the whole island in the dark and climbed its highest mountain.
The run that ended before it began
Once I left for a run at 2:09 in the morning and got home at 2:05. That was the night the clocks went back.
Anywhere new
Whenever I get the chance to run somewhere I have never been, I go straight away. At Warsaw airport, for example, I ran out to a Lidl – where my nose started bleeding.
